The País grape vineyards were planted before tractors existed… given their distribution, the only way to plow between rows is with horses.

Thank you for visiting our Santa Rosa de Lavaderos website!!

In this website, we aim to explain how we manufacture our wines and different products, the place and the people behind the brand. The farm Santa Rosa de Lavaderos has a traditional adobe house, surrounded by rivers, wetlands and an endangered forest, which the family recently established as a privately protected area.

A place full of history, traditions and a sanctuary for an endangered forest.

Some of our vineyards are over 100 years old! (According to the records from the Chilean Agricultural Service, SAG) The farm is located in a traditional wine producing area. Not long ago almost every proprietor had a small cellar made from adobe and with Rauilí vats (Nothofagus alpina, a species of “Chilean oak”). The farm also produces honey, prunes, peaches, sun-dried tomatoes, quinces, sour cherries, maqui and herbal teas. Unprocessed or elaborated with traditional recipes, right now, we only make them for our own consumption, but we expect to make them available ASAP!
